Rockhouse ATV Trail

 

Trail Description

The Rockhouse Trail System, located between the towns of Man and Gilbert, consists of 92 miles of trail. Rockhouse has one trailhead located just outside the town of Man, WV. Rockhouse has the largest total mileage of any of the six Hatfield-McCoy Trail Systems and offers a wide variety of trails for all difficulty levels. The breakdown in trail percentages for this trail system is: 53% are green trails (easiest), 22% blue (more difficult), 13% black (most difficult), 5% red/black trails (extremely difficult), and 7% orange (single track only). This trail system has direct access to the cities of Man and Gilbert, WV. Each of these towns offer fuel, full service food, and lodging accommodations.

 

Community Connectors

Town of Man Community Connector

The town of Man is a legal community connector located just 1.2 miles from the Rockhouse Trailhead. Visitors can access or exit the Rockhouse Trails from the town of Man by ATV, UTV or off-road motorcycle at the Rockhouse trailhead and by following all rules of the Hatfield-McCoy Trails.
 

Town of Gilbert Community Connector

The town of Gilbert is a legal community connector located at the southernmost point of the Rockhouse Trails. Visitors can access or exit the Rockhouse Trails by ATV, UTV or off-road motorcycle from Gilbert and by following all rules of the Hatfield-McCoy Trails.

 

Directions

Driving north or south on WV 119, take the Logan exit (near Walmart). Follow WV 73 east to WV 10 South. Take WV 10 South for 16 miles to WV 80 south. Turn right onto WV 80 South, cross the bridge and the railroad tracks. After crossing the bridge make a left at the stop sign. Follow the road approximately 1 mile to the trailhead center. The trailhead center will be on your left.
